As you walk into the Human halls, you are startled as you see blood everywhere, Human corpses litter the floor everywhere. Their faces in grotesque positions, there are many unidentifiable parts of many Humans lying on the floor. There are fires here and there. Many of the once great columns of the once great hall have been smashed and the ceiling is now caved in in some parts. Yet, there are faint beams of sunlight creeping in in some places, shining light on shadows...

Holy Mystra what happened here!
Dyne

"Xen, it is not wise to go wandering about in strange ruins alone. I suppose I'll accompany you in this strange place." Dyne looks around at the horribly mutilated corpses, and a look of sorrow comes across his face. "What could possibly cause such an atrocity?" he sighs.

Upon walking a bit further into the Human halls, an dinto the great library, one now finds that the whole room is on fire, and many books are burning. Wood cracks and some shelves collapse. Yuo can smell the burning flesh of those who have died here. As you walk carefully you find that much of the lore the Humans had or were working is now gone. Some of it burned, the rest of it just missing.

Thankyou my freind. Perhaps some Divinations are in order. You would not happen to have a speak with dead spell, would you? And perhaps we should check for survivors and look around for the beast that did this.
Dyne

12-11-04, 08:32 PM
"What a shame to see knowledge go to waste." Dyne continues further into the library, looking for any book or piece of lore that he can save from the fire.

EDIT: Dyne looks back at Xen. "I'm not a Cleric, so I don't have that spell," he says.
Xen155

Humans MUST learn to fire ward their books!
Also begins checking the library.
Be on your guard Dyne, the killer may still be about.

The two eventually come upon a lone figure in a room. He has his back turned to them, and you can hear a faint chuckle coming from his lips. He then turns around and you recogize him from one of the broken statues you passed by, he is Gellion. Leader of the Humans, there is blood on his hands and on his ageless face. His laughter erupts into an insane shriek, and then he vanishes..

Dyne casts Locate Creature to find out where Gellion went.

Gellion, is this gonna erupt into a battle or anything similar? If so, I suppose we should PM our spells to whatever GM will regulate this.

Dyne draws his sword, a Sun Blade, which illuminates the room. He also checks the straps on his armor and tightens the strap of his shield on his arm.

Xen examins the place Gellion disappeared from.
Dyne, are you fully prepared for a battle?
Xen snaps and his battle equipment flare to life.
OOC: Dyne do you have a reflection bonus to ac?

Nope, but I do have an AC of 33.

Doesn't Mage Armor grant an Armor bonus? And I thought you couldn't empower something that doesn't have any random numerical factors.

EDIT: Yep, Mage Armor grants a +4 Armor Bonus, which wouldn't affect me since my Armor Bonus is +13. And Empower only affects random variables.

That would have been helpful though, thanks for considering it.

Shhhhhhh. But yes you are right on both fronts I believe. *Checks PHB* YUP! take that back and ill just be giving myself +4 armor.

And Im gonna make a cleric PC. I can not believe there is not a single cleric level in the IFWG
Orcy The Green Wonder

There is a greater mage armor in CA, which give +6 ac. As long as you arent wearing Armor of course.

There's a Cleric in the IFWG, you guys just don't KNOW about him. :plotting:

I'm wearing +5 Mithril Full Plate, so the spell wouldn't do me any good.

Bust out with the fighting! I'm ready to kick some genocidal psycho butt!

Click, clack. Click, clack. The sound echoes through the corpse filled halls. A voice whispers from the shadows around the others in the room.
"Such fine work on these corpses. I wish I had done it myself. But that is not the case sadly... but there are always more... arent there?"

Images of a man wearing white robes with long black hair appear to everyone in the Human halls. The man smirks, then quickly vanishshes.

Okay, everyone roll a Will save. I am sort of doing this myself right now. Dont worry I am an honest man.

EDIT: Ah hell, I will tell you now.

Dyne feels himself begin to waver and he slips into a dream like state in which he is served the most exquisite wines by beautiful women. He may stay in this state forever, upon which his body will die if not taken care of. However, he can be cured....

Xen feels himself begin to slip, and see images of beautiful women, but he shakes it off. Knowing that such good things always come with a price...

OOC: Okay, guy, just to let everyone know. I may dissappear from time to time, as I tend to be busy every once in a while. But dont worry, I always come back. :)

Hmmm. An interesting curse, though I don't think it's really appropriate to Dyne. Worldly things don't interest him, only magic and knowledge. And he isn't very swayed by women, either, since he finds it pointless to ever search for a mate.

If this is a variation of a sleep type spell. Then wouldnt elves be immune to it Gellion?

Indeed, but you sort of failed your safe. so, that is the curse. Of course due to your nature, you may have an easier time when someone breaks the curse on you. Well, if someone someone helps you.

Okay, screw this thread. I have no idea what to do as of now. Just let it sink down to the bottom. I am sorry for all of you who have participated so far, but I made this up on a whim, and it is not working out.

EDIT: Sorry Dyne, but I could have sworn you were Human. Oh well, it does not matter anyways.

I would be immune to sleep, that is true. And if it's an enchantment, I would get a +2 bonus against it.

Alright folks, just forget about it. Orcy would like to take this chance to tell people to CHECK WITH GMS BEFORE YOU START SOMETHING LIKE THIS. Orcy wants to make sure you have everything planned out and all that.

Wait, don't give up that easily. I find it interesting so far. If you have any ideas for keeping it going, then by all means, press forward.

Orcy, aren't Players allowed to do this sort of thing if it only involves their PC's and other Player's PC's? I thought the whole point of the Guild Wars was for Player Character-vs.-Player Character interactions. That's what the thing at the Sovereign Throne was, just Aseir using his powers to fool other PC's. If the whole plot of the IFWG is only controlled by GM's, then it's totally different from what I thought it was.

I may at a later point, when I have any clue what I am going to do. Hehehe, so keep an eye out for a future, improved adventure thread. Yes, this was just going to be a fun little adventure for some people to go on. :)

Orcy would prefer to have information about the thread first. Because though players can indeed run things. They should check with a GM so we can properly monitor the threads. Also, then Orcy could check over spells and such before this kind of thing happens. Orcy likes to know that the person has planned at least a little.

I know all that. A GM or judge has to monitor it to make sure the rules are upheld. But, Stav made it seem that GM's run the entire plot, and this doesn't make sense to me.

For Example: I have a Drow Vampire character, and let's say he wants to lure people into his stronghold so that he can prey on them. The "adventure" would only involve himself, his undead minions, and any allies he could get to help him out. If I PMed you, saying that I was gonna run such a thing and wanted you to monitor it, could I run the "adventure"?

careful - not quite. What I meant was - and said major plot devices need to be cleared by a GM.

You may certainly introduce characters with background - but you need to post the character background somewhere visible, unless you prefer to keep it secret, in which case a GM needs a copy.

The GMs only have ownership over *major* mythological themes.

The Guilds have full executive control over a great many of their other choices.

Are we on the same wavelength yet?

I read the thread.

Essentially, Gellion's DMing, by the way I read the thread.

I've spoken with Orcy and Gellion about it. I support the venture. Gell's been with us for a long time.

The following conditions apply

1. Any major plot devices get cleared first (privately).
2. Gell will stay in touch with GMs to integrate his products into our mythology.
3. We don't need to be advised for minor themes.

To Clarify

Any Guild has full autonomy over a) products it creates, b) its culture, environs, structure, alliances, between-guild interactions, friendships.

It's *only* themes that affect the Mythology (e.g. the number of Chosen-ses). That should be cleared first.

Does this make sense?

any questions?
