| DragonBringerX07-23-05, 02:48 AM | well...i can answer your 1st question right now...i'll get back to you on the 2nd one latter. but it depends on what benifit you want. I assume your talking about the variant presented in the Unearthed Arcana??? if you are, then there are 3 variants for all of the specialist wizards. each makes you give up either: 1-familar :coolcthul 2-bonus feats (scribe scroll, 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th) 3-extra spells from being a specialist (so necro's wouldn't be able to memorize and extra necro spell a spell level) :mage: BUT... for some pretty cool special abilities instead that depend on what ur doing... for example...one off the top of my head that i know :teach: a necro could give up his familiar to have a skeletal minoin instead that grows in power, doesn't eat up xp for dying, cost 100gp, and doesn't get any familar abilities. :mage: :b: |
