| unundindur08-07-07, 04:05 PM | Hello everyone. With a rescent concept of mine includes a drow assassin who wields a single dagger. The thing is though that this is obviously inferior to using a buckler in the off hand so I thought that it could be an idea to just allow a pair of bracers to be enchanted as a shield in addition to their normal benefits, and just require shield proficiency for it to work. As far as i can see this should only be a fluff-chance, but if someone can see any mechanicnal advantages/disadvantages my group should be aware of then please let me know :) Thanks |

| zephyrTR08-08-07, 10:03 AM | ninjas just had metal bracers. They had triplets of hooks comin off them so they could snare an enemy's blade with a block and then break it in half. Go w atch the end of batman begins to see what I mean. honestly the difference between a buckler and some bracers isn't so big. I'd allow a +1 mundane shield bonus off that. |
