Best to play a gestalt rogue sorcerer. |

| Milburn12-28-05, 11:47 AM | Best to play a gestalt rogue sorcerer. Oh, and there really is no chance of playing a gestalt in a non gestalt campaign! |

I think that 8 skill points / level + Trapfinding + class-skills list identical to the rogue (+Dungeoneering that should also be added to the rogue) + Trap Sense would match it up to the core bard. I want to create the ultimate jack of all trades and a multi-purpose spell list does wonders for this consept. (comments... ?) |
| Luega12-29-05, 11:02 AM | I assume that by "bardic abilities" you mean bardic music, right? If that's the case, then I would allow it. You're giving up an ability that scales with level (and ranks in perform), for one that is available at level one (and isn't nearly equal to bardic music in any way), and two more skill points per level. The skill lists are nearly indentical anyways. Edit: Just saw that you would like to include trapsense too. If you hadn't suggested it, I would have done so. In that case I would say "go for it". It sounds completely reasonable to me. |
| Castar_Clebdecher12-29-05, 11:08 AM | Honestly, i think that you should just play a rogue with high UMD, and focus more on use of wands and scrolls than daggers and crossbows. It will cost more money and proboably wont be as efficient, but it would be generally what youre looking for without haveing to splice classes together. It saves a lot of the hassle. |
| Millennium12-29-05, 11:22 AM | Why not just start off as a bard and take levels of rogue every so often? This is the kind of thing that multiclassing works well for. |
