I'd like to rework the concept of psionics and make it another form of magic. Obviously, I'll be using magic-psionics transparency rules.

The current setting I'm running involves a gate system between alternate worlds (all prime material plane). Psionics would have been brought to this world by aberrations from other worlds. I think the concept I"ll be using is that Psionics channels the insanity of yourself and those around you to alter the world. This means that all psions are at least a little insane. I've been giving sorcerers the feat "draconic heritage" for free, so I was thinking about giving psionic classes the feat Aberration Blood from Lords of Madness.

At this point, a few things don't make sense (mostly skills):
Psicraft: Since psionics is a type of magic, I'm changing this to spellcraft.
Knowledge(Psionics): Arcane magic uses Knowledge(Arcane) not Knowledge(Magic), same with divine magic (except with knowledge(religion)). So, I was thinking of using Knowledge(Otherworldy) or put more simply, Knowledge(Gates). This raises a few questions: Which skill is used for identifying aberrations? Knowledge(Gates) or Knowledge(Dungeoneering)? What synergy does Knowledge(Gates) provide?
Use Psionic Device: This is an easy one. UMD.

Anyway, does all of this make enough sense?
