What bothers me is that Dex 14 and Dex 15 have no difference what so ever. They both have the same modifier. Has anyone else getting tired of this? Has anyone made anything about it? Like using the normal system but granting +1 modifier per each increase in score: 10-> 0 11->+1 12-> +2 and so on? How would this affect the game exept by increasing the values used in saves etc.? |

If you do that and allow people to have scores up to 18, it unbalances the game the same way it would to allow scores up to 26. It also crushes people who have scores below 10; suddenly a 3 is a -7 instead of a -4. As it is, odd attributes are good for the following: Encumbrance (Str) Maximum Spell Level (Int, Wis, Cha) Feat prereqs (All) Padding for ability score damage (All) //this can be very, very important I'm sure I'm missing tons of stuff here |
