| DragonWatcher02-28-04, 06:35 PM | Under the description of the special abilities it says that one possibility for a special ability is that of a feat. It also states that if a character already has a feat when they would gain it as a bloodline ability, they can choose another feat instead. Personally, for this case, I would say that if you can't fly, choose another feat. I would assume that WotC either intended to give the bloodline some ability to fly, or they assumed that a player playing a character with such a bloodline would find a way to make them fly. If the former is true, then they should have been more careful... if the latter is true, then that's the dumbest idea that I've ever heard. If it's something else entirely, I would like to know what it is as well. You're right, though, that a character that can't fly can't make use of this ability, and as such I would let them swap it with something else... or pick something else appropriate (like the Air Elemental's Whirlwind ability), after all... it is a 20th level ability, and the character shouldn't get scr:censored:wed like that. |
