I thought it was in Unearthed Arcana but I can't find it in there. Can anyone help? Hmmm... I remember that, too. If I remember right, it was an opposed check tumble vs the opponent's DEX modifier. A player with high tumble ranks still has an advantage, but at least it makes it interesting. I can't remember where I read that, though... Maybe in one of the rules articles online? |

The rule I use IMC is that the Tumble DC is increased by the target's Reflex save. More dangerous opponents (i.e. more HD and CR) are harder to tumble safely past, and the quick ones (high Ref) even more so! |

I'd have to go home to check. |
