For example in OA (and one of the recent dragon magazines with the 3.5 OA rules, maybe it was 315), there are Ancestor Feats that give characters a particular ancestry- maybe it would be possible to extend these so that you get an Ancestral Bloodline progression like the UA bloodlines. I suppose they'd be minor bloodlines so you'd get 1st level - -character must choose appropriate ancestor feat- 4th level- +2 on a particular skill 8th level- special 1 12th level- ability boost +1 16th- special 2 20th- ??replace affinity +2 with something else, since there isn't actually a base races to get an affinity bonus with?? |

But off cause... It would like joining the family trade or something.. And the 20th level ability would be something that improves (or relies) on the bonus you gain from the ancestor feat... This would mean that a character, with the ancestor feat, could choose not to join the family trade, but his abilities would improve if he did. You could key it together with a race's favored class, to enhance it. |
