My UA book is STILL lost in the mail, although Amazon assures me it's "on the way." I didn't mind at first because we were still running an older campaign. However, I now have the oppertunity to run a new campaign, and have known about it for a month. I really wanted to play as a human paragon, but the campaign starts tomorrow (every sunday afternoon) and I need help. What does the class offer? I wouldn't ask if it wasn't OGL. Thank you for your input. Sorry about the big lame excuse though.

Thank you very very much. However, I was under the impression they got two caster levels also... oh well. So much for that build huh? Otherwise very nice. Very very nice. Thank you again.

They do get caster level increases which, I believe (book is actually in the car) are at levels 2 and 3 of the class (the drow being the only paragon that gets a caster level increase at 1st paragon level).

I think the class has some nice possibilities. I have actually paired it with the Half-Elf (which can take levels in both classes but only gets one caster leve increase at 2nd level).

Both classes have unnamed ability boosts of +2. So, unlike the other races which specify where the increase must go, the human and half-elf are ideal if you are going to make a character which is charisma based (I wanted the charisma as part of an ocular adept build). Another nice trait of the half-elf is a +2 bonus to all charisma-based skills (quite nice, depending on the social interactions of some campaigns).

Thank you both very very much. I was able to take Battle Sorcerer at level one(we started at level 3) and two levels of Human Paragon for my character. It turned out to be a very good night of gaming. Not 100% sure on what level gets what benefit, but we just add-libbed. The DM is very liberal with stuff like this, so it all worked out okay. She just said I had to take the next level as Human Paragon and it would all work out. :)

machiel pretty much put the three special abilities in order at the end of his post.

the rest is stuff you get every other level.

oh, and the last 2 levels are the ones with spellcaster progression.
