| Dumb_N00b04-10-04, 04:28 AM | 1)I would like it if this thread could be clean so don't post unless you really need to, have a relivent suggestion or change to a previous post, or if you have a flaw or trait to post. 2)I created this thread because i am always looking for new ways to customize my caracters, And have personally found the flaws/traits in ua to be to few. _______________/ Yes so the basic rule i find is that a flaw is 2x worse than a feat is good, and a trait has 2x more penalties then it does bonuses _______________/ <no name yet> You are particularly unskilled in a certain area Effect: choose a class skill, you get a -6 to all checks involving that skill The DM may rule that you cannont take this flaw for less important skills like ride, because for example you could be a fighter but never use the ride skill. |
| Masterful_Norg04-10-04, 05:12 AM | The name of the flaw you've given should be "Inept". Its up to the DM to provide a situation in which a fighter might gain greater benefit from successfully using one of his/her neglected skills. My trait: Aquisitive Benefit: +2 to search checks. Drawback: -2 to appraise checks. Roleplaying Ideas: The character may be more conscerned with the quantity of possesions owned rather than the inherent material values of those individual possesions. Priceless or common, all belongings are equally precious to the kind of character with this trait. |
| MattMart04-10-04, 08:03 AM | Why not just post your flaws and traits on this thread (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=187647&highlight=flaws) they've allready got a nice list running... |
| Dumb_N00b04-10-04, 02:31 PM | yeah i looked for that kind of thread but i just found it after i posted thnx for the heads up |
| Glo'nakh04-10-04, 08:37 PM | Here is a flaw i considered running in one of my campaigns. Character is considered completely blind, cannot make spot checks, used ranged weaponry etc. As a pair to this, however, allow the character not only blind-fight but one other feat as well (keeping in mind that everything for them will be based on information from other player characters including the locations of enemies and or traps--especially traps since they may not be able to judge distance) As another option the character could be blind and then pick one of two other senses to determine the locations of enemies sound--obvious or touch-- everything from the slighter coolness of a shadow to the heat of another creature etc. Although this one grants only blind-fight |
| MattMart04-11-04, 08:44 AM | that would be a trait then....not a flaw.... |
