I had some ideas for balancing out Spell Point use in my next campaign. #1: First of all, spells like Restauration doesn't recharge Spell Points. #2: There are no spells which allow one to automatically regain Spell Points; No "something for nothing" here. #3: There are spells which allow spellcasters to "drain" Spell Points from spellcasting adversaries, build like the "Inflict Wound" line of spells. #4: There are potions which allow spellcasters to regain Spell Points, build like Cure potions.
