I'm thinking of allowing my characters to take the bloodlines as feats instead of giving up levels for them. For example, at first level you take minor bloodline demon as a feat and you get all the benefits of that bloodline without ever having to give up a level. If you later take the medium bloodline demon feat, you retroactively get all the benefits for a medium demon bloodline and identically with the major bloodline feat.

Restrictions include that you can only ever have one creature type for your bloodline feats and if you pick certain feats that are later given to you for free, you recieve no additional feats. The minor & medium seem OK but the major one seems too good. What do you think?

I think that if you take a feat, first minor of course, then as you level you gain certain benefits dependant on whatever level it says in the bloodlines you gain.

If someone takes up the moderate and major bloodline feats then the list changes to match that bloodline list of benefits, with of course any new abilities that would've been gained in previous levels are retroactively granted and as you continue going up gaining new abilities as they come around on the list.

This way you don't have to give up a level, don't gain all the benefits at once, and still have to work at getting the more poweful abilities!

I am not sure how thine idea would work...couldest thou not explain it with greater detail, for I am not sure if you meaneth that each time thou dost take a feat of the bloodlines thou gaineth all the benefits of one part of that bloodline, starting with those of the minor bloodline for those who first take one, and continuing on to the benefits of a major bloodline for those who take it thrice.
