| Fat Man05-16-07, 08:28 PM | I was thinking of a few ideas about gunpoweder in D&D and have came up with the following and would like some opinions. Basicaly I deduced that since Dwarves spend much time in mines where a coal dust explosion can cost many deaths (not to mention profit loss) they would have developed an redementary undersstanding of gunpowder and explosives. therefor in my campain the following weapons exsits (all of them are Exotic but Dwarfs get to treat the hand cannon as martial) Dwarven Pistol RNG 30feet DMG 1D10 p Crit x3 mass 7lb Cost 1500gb Dwarven Hand Cannon RNG 60 feet DMG 2D6 p Crit x3 mass 14lb 1000gb shot(10) 5gb 1lb Cannon mass 200lb Solid 120 feet DMG 3D10 b Crit x3 [one cannon ball cost 5gb and weighs 1lb] Grape 15feet cone DMG 4D6 p (Reflex DC: To hit roll for half) [enought shot to make one round of grape costs 5gb and weighs 1lb ] cannons are often found on newer Dwarven Ironclads replacing the balista (the ironclad is in Arms and Equipment) so what do you think |
