Class AC Bonus [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-14-06, 12:14 PM How does multiclassing work for this. Because a 20 class character could be fairly broken if it hets +2 to +3 to AC per level. Also how do Prestige Classes work that provide no armor proficiencies. I'd guess you just go by your first class as a progression, or maybe your best option.

04-14-06, 02:00 PM For classes after the first you subtract 2 from the bonus AC. This is something else from the SW RPG that may have been forgotten.

04-14-06, 10:59 PM The way I saw it was this. Suppose you've got a Human Sorcere(lets say level 2). Then for level 3 he picks up a level of Paladin. Then he goes back to Sorcerer. He uses the entire AC progression of Paladin, so at level 20 he's got a +12 bonus to his AC. At least that's how I read it, the wording of it may be tricky.

04-23-06, 05:43 AM As the rules are written you just look at what armor proficiency you have an get a column based on that. In theory you could allow people to get the armor proficiency feats to boost them from one category to another. OTOH it seem unbalancing to allow arcane casters to benefit from the armor proficiencies of a paladin class if they would never have used that feature without this varient.
