Trying to find the right audience for this. So far no luck or very few viewers in "d20 design" and "campaign" forums here...

This is a character point system for d20 games for building classes, monsters, spells, and much more. I hope somebody can get some use out of it.

By the way, it's a work in progress so any feedback at all will probably affect the outcome.

And the Wiki itself I put up can be edited by ANYONE so if you want to add something, put it in and make a notation (1) that will credit your work.

For further interest in classless d20 systems there is a much older thread called "V20" by Jaertellas (here on WOTC forums). Similar, but it did not inspire this project. Both are very original.

As of today, 40 views and no comments? No flames, insults, nothing! I'd even prefer the bad over the lukewarm at this point.

Am I on the wrong website entirely? What's going on here....

Jaertellas's thread does have a year worth of comments on it but this is... strange.
I wonder if "character points" is a taboo topic among hardcore, rulesmonkey gamers.

Unfortunately, I do not have time to read this at the moment. However, it is definitely something I'm interested in, and I've been tinkering around with my own system for some time now. As soon as I have the time to dedicate to looking at it, I'll definitely give you some opinions. :)

(I'm only posting this near-useless message to reassure you that there is at least one person here who's interested.)

No offense, but while I'm very interested in the concept, I found the actual rules a bit hard to grasp..

Yeah, and the text is laid out very poorly--as are the descriptions/explanations.

Thanks for the reassurance, I was considering giving up after a month of no responses.

True, true. It is a very unprofessional draft, even for a Wiki. On DOC format it has tables but all linebreaks were removed in transfering to Wiki. How would you do it?

For one thing, explaining what the stuff is would be helpful.

Hit Die +1: 2 for 1d4 + CON or 2 HP + CON for first level only, 1 for each increase in dice or Hit Point +1

Skill Points +2 : 1 for first level only (and add INT from there), 1 for each increase

1 Save +1 : -1

Base Attack + 1/2 : -1

Base Attack +3/4 : -2

Base Attack +1 : -3

Mana factor +2 (multiply Mana Factor by base Will ranks –1 or caster level for Total Mana) : -1

Feat / d20 Modern Talent / most class abilities: -2

Powerful Class abilities / Prestige class abilities (that don’t match feats): -3

1 Ability Score +1 : -1

Makes no sense.

Aha! The old draft notes. Thanks for clarification. There is a revision (read: understandable version!) on my PC of the "Basics" section as I write this but as of tonight it is incomplete. My girlfriend told me to wait until she can preview for readability, and I'm thinking I just might wait for her... but it will come soon. She wants me to explain it verbally, as briefly as possible, and then write what I say.
A good idea.

Why just the Basics section, one might ask? Because my intent is that one may eventually get a summary of this system in just a few paragraphs. I hope. Simplicity is what I am trying for and every bit of feedback helps, thanks again FeceMan.
