| shawnsse03-05-04, 02:15 AM | Originally posted by Myztek When using the Death and Dying rules, how would you handle the diehard feat? This is what I will do. DIEHARD [GENERAL] Prerequisite: Endurance. Benefit: When reduced to dying, you automatically become stable. You DON'T have to make a Fortitude save per round (DC 10, +1 per turn after the first) to see if you will die. You are stable even you failed your Fortitude save (see Stable rule in UA page 121) to remain stable. If you succeed the save, you become conscious and have 1 hit point. (Stable rule in UA page 121 require you to succeed your save by 5 or more to regain consciousness). Alternatively, when reduced to dying, you may choose to act as if you were disabled, rather than dying. You must make this decision as soon as you are reduced to dying (even if it isn¡¯t your turn). If you do not choose to act as if you were disabled, you immediately fall unconscious. When using this alternative, you act like you are disabled. You can take either a single move or standard action each turn, but not both, and you cannot take a full round action. You can take a move action without further injuring yourself, but if you perform any standard action (or any other action deemed as strenuous, including some free actions, such as casting a quickened spell) you have to make a Fortitude save per round (DC 10, +1 per turn after the first) to see if you will die. If you fail, you immediately die. Normal: A character without this feat who is reduced to dying is unconscious and near death. Hope it helps. |
