| Darth Sephiroth04-06-06, 03:09 PM | I've recently been inspired to do a desert campaign (No I don't have Sandstorm for those who will ask) and I noticed that all the Desert races gain a bonus to fortitude with their heat adaptation ability. I started to wonder, does it apply to humans from Desert regions as well? |
| Jodjod04-06-06, 03:32 PM | If you are giving the bonus to all the other races then it is pretty much essential to give it to humans as well. I'm not sure about the official ruling, but I'd give the bonus to humans as well. |
| Darth Sephiroth04-06-06, 03:35 PM | Yeah I had guessed that but then the book seemed to say that humans didn't get modified except for aquatic. |

| AT-AT Assault04-13-06, 10:19 PM | Use the human bonus feat to take Endurance or Great Fortitude. Simple. But the thing is while the other races get enhanced for growing up in the desert, the Human remains the same. That bonus feat is balanced to the base races, not the Desert races. |

| Darth Sephiroth04-14-06, 11:50 AM | I'm giving it to them. I modified it slightly though Heat Endurance: Members of desert races gain a +4 racial bonus on Fortitude saves made to resist the effects of hot weather or exposure. They also suffer a -4 racial penalty on Fortitude saves made to resist the effects of cold weather or exposure. That's more for a balance the Arctic Variants get the reverse of it instead of their Cold Endurance. |
