Did WotC forget to put in the HD Variant??? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Yea i really should had brought this up a year ago, or so, when UA was released.
But better late then..... :confused: So, in one of the previews 1-2 years ago, when promoting the book(Like WotC always do, shamelessly), i read about this HD variant, that atleast "I" for once found very interesting.
One of the writers said in the article, that his old D&D 1E RP group used a homerule, for rolling hero stats.(According to the writer, the heroes should have hero like stats)
He said that they rolled 9D6 for the Class's main stat. It didn't say more than that.
Well it did. I think it said something like: More of this when you buy the god damn book.(It didn't say god damn) ;)
So my question. Is it in? Or did they decide to leave it out???

oh, I can assure it's in UA...

... just not the UA printed last year.

ARGH!! Now I remember: there was such a thing back then in the old Unearted Arcana, way back before 3e came out...
