DragonWatcher 02-28-04, 02:50 PM	Simple answer: None. If the DM allows domain wizards, there is no point of normal wizards. The only restriction is that Domain Wizards cannot specialize.
Count Arioch the 28th 02-29-04, 04:17 AM	Which, really, is not a restriction at all, since they alread get all the benefits save +2 to spellcraft checks, and none of the penalties associated with specialization. It's like saying when you join the priesthood, a drawback is that you can no longer castrate yourself for fun. Shameless plug: Try Arcane domains with the Sorceror, it's much better!

Better intrinsically, or for balance reasons? (As an aside, I have never really understood the rationale behind the sorcerer class. Yes, I have read the "official" rationale in the PH, but it never seemed plausible to me that these guys "innately" know spells that wizards spend hours buried in the books to learn. And if they DO "innately" know them, why can sorcerers use scrolls? Okay, this parathentical ramble is a complete tangent, I know, I know... :rolleyes: )
