Tuneless Bard 01-04-05, 08:40 AM	Whatever happened to the concept of dry-casting a spell? It used to be a great last stitch effort of a used up wizard. Rip the page out of my book because im gunna die if i dont cast it. for those not familiar, dry-casting is when you cast a spell by removing it from your spellbook. using the pages like a scroll in effect. I know the books says you cant use a spellbook in this mannor. but does anyone else still use this rule? or maybe someone has modified it to make it slightly more 3.5 friendly?
Ilium 01-04-05, 09:29 AM	I always liked this idea, too, but I've never actually seen it used in a game. I'd allow it, but I don't think it needs any more rules than you've just listed. :)
