| Elvintry07-26-05, 01:57 AM | OK...I don't know if this original or not...but the other day I thought of a new bloodline....I am thinking of calling it Favored of Deity...where Deity is replaced with the name of a specific Deity....It would work like the standard bloodline as presented in the Unearthed Arcana except instead of a racial bloodline...It would focus around a specific deity...Basically its a granted bloodline that is given to a person at birth by his deity...or it could be because the person has a deific ancestry of some sort...kinda like pre-quasi deityship...anyway....I am using several guidelines to do this...quasi and demi-deities cannot bestow this bloodline...lesser deities (DR 6-10) can only bestow minor bloodlines...intermediate deities (DR 11-15): minor and intermediate bloodlines...greater deities (16-20): minor, intermediate, and major....Finally supreme deities (21+) can bestow minor, intermediate, and major and (possibly epic?) Epic bloodlines progress as major but double the bonuses/ uses received of the abilities gained at each level. To take epic one must take a bloodline level at 23th level, 26th level, 32nd level, 43rd level etc. (I realize that each bloodline level doubles...but that would be too easy a progression) to continue gaining bonuses....Furthermore, deities have the power to grant multiple bloodlines focusing around each non-alignment domain possessed by the deity. Does this variant sound good? Does the epic bloodline work? Any suggested bloodline advancements? Once I develope several....I plan to post bloodlines for several deities in the future...if someone is interested...any suggestions? |
