Hello fellow DMs,

I would like to know if someone else uses the Spell Point System form UA.
I let our wizard do it for greater flexibility. But now - when I think about it I wonder if it is not too flexibel.
Does somebody has some experience with it how it influences the game compared to a "normal" mage?
And does anybody has an idea how to give the fighters an advantage that both - warriors and spellcasters - are equally treated?
Greetings, your Crazy DM.

I suggest to use action points, too.
In that case spellcaster gain action points, too. So make sure that non spellcaster get more action points than spellcaster.
For me it works very well.

Thank you.

The idea with action points sounds very good.

But what is more points for non-casters then casters? How much is more for you?

Hola All,
In my games I have noticed spell casters getting the crap kicked out of them faster and faster. Mainly because my games are a even mix of role-playing and hack-n-slash so a spellcaster dosn't know what to memorize.
With spell focus being lowered to +1, and some base wizard spells being changed its harder for a wizard in 3.5. Even harder if they have alot of encounters in a day and not just 4-5.
Spell points have given a spellcaster a better chance, and I have noticed players using more meta magic feats using spell points then they have before.
