Okay I will soon be starting in a gestalt campaign and I am making my character. I want a mostly Combat character with a few tricks up his sleeves, so to speak. Does anyone see a problem with a fighter/Psychic warrior?

He will probally be human and we are starting off at 2nd level.. so he will have 6 feats at second level right? I believe at 20th if I stay fighter/PW I will have 19 bonus feats right? plus regular feats so 26 feats total after leveling and human bonus. Plus his Psychic warrior powers.

He should be prety versitile right? Or am I missing something with the whole gestalt consept.. I've read it but have never played it before.

The party looks like it will have a Psion/Monk, a Sorcerer/Cleric, and a Barbarian/Rogue from what everyone has said. I know the psion/monk is going to go something like Psion 10/Tattoed monk 10/ Monk 20 as he is going for a conseptual design. The other two are not possitive about their character so we won't know untill later when the campaign starts.

Yes, he will, with 26 feats, be the Feat Master. Not quite a CentiPC. :D

Honestly, fighter/psion is a lot better. In exchange for three feats, you'll get two good saves (instead of just fort) and full psion abilities. You just need to focus on boosting your Int. You'll still have the fighter's BAB and hit die.

I strongly reccomend Narrow Mind and Psionic Meditation. Popping out those focus-based feats is what's really going to make you dangerous.

It has been mentioned before: the greatest thing to do with gestalt is to cancel out your weaknesses. Just as Tyler said, if you put together a class with a good HD, try tacking on a class with a crappy HD that gives good abilities that make up for other weaknesses. This gives you the most bang for your buck, so to speak.

Fighter is a great thing to use for a backbone. Let's see, I take it you want to be a psionic type, so ...

How about Psion 20//Fighter 5/Slayer 10/War Mind 5? That'll give you a lot of versatility, tons of special abilities, a good number of feats, sweeping strike, the all important immunity to mind affecting effects, etc.

Or if you want the feat stuff, just tack 20 levels of Fighter onto your favorite twinky Psion/Psionic PrC build. I particularly like doing this with Elocators and Thrallherds.

There are two ways to gestalt generally. To cover all your weakness and make a character that has a little of everything.

-Bard/Psion
-Rogue/Druid
-Monk/Cleric

Or picking one area and just going all out on it.

-Fighter/Psychic Warrior
-Wizard/Sorcerer
-Cleric/Paladin

I have a guy playing a fighter/psychic warior in my current game, and he is just a combat beast. He can amp up his AC to insane levels, disarm, trip, and given a round dish out insane amounts of damage. If you want a tank, its a good choice.

if you're gonna roll with fighter/psychic warrior, you might wanna throw in some PrC's in there. war mind is always fun for the kids (sweeping strike baby!)
