| NorthSaber02-27-04, 08:07 PM | Did I already see another thread where we're fixing typos and such for UA? If so, forgive moi and ignore this thread. In the metamagic component variant lists, some entries are oddly italiziced. I noticed that magical components (such as +1 quarterstaff) are italicized most likely intentionally, but some italics do not make sense (unless I'm missing some explanation in the text, such as italicized entries being reusable or something). For example, on page 142, Detect Thoughts (Heightened +2, Platinum Disc, 1,100gp): the whole line is italicized. Why? Other such mistakes: Discern Lies, Dismissal, Dispel Magic, Gaseous Form, Mass Heal, and Sleep. |
| DragonWatcher02-27-04, 08:17 PM | Generally speaking, spell names are almost always italicised. I believe that this is to enforce that they are taking about the actual spell, not an effect that can be referred to in the same way (but can come from other sources). Though, to be honest, I'm not sure that is the reason for what you're talking about. |
