I don't think this would be super powerful, but for a gestalt, it woudl represent a well balanced, survivable character I think:

A Soulknife/warlock.

the always-armed character (shy of an anti-magic field, and not nessecarily even then).

You'd never throw your mind blade, that's what eldritch blasts would be for.

A bit heavy on the MAD, INT and WIS would be your least important stats. But definatly a fun character IMHO.

Of course, the invocation that lets you use your eldritch blast /w a standard action melee attack, combined with the soul-knife, and maybe unleasing either Deep Impact or Greater Psionic Weapon...

hmm, I just realised, The psionic damage boost for ranged weapons feat chain woudl work on eldritch blasts.. a bit feat intensive if you want to be able to recharge yoru Focus with an MEA too, but as long as you do not move, you could do Eldritch Blat + 4d6 every round. O.o

It looks pretty interesting to me, although without seeing it in play or at least the actual stats on paper it would be hard to say if it could work or not... even so, I think it should be possible, and a very fun character concept.

Alright, I've been thinking about this build, and one thing I've figured out is that you have to decide whether melee or ranged is his primary, and which is his back up. Even as a human, 8 feats just doesn't cover all this character can do.

So Ranged, stat order woudl be: Cha-Dex-Con-Str-Wis-Int

Melee: Cha-Str-Con-Dex-Wis-Int

(In both cases, you want to try and get a min wisdom of 13, for psionic mediation)

Ranged:

Your feat tree would include Point Blank shot, Psionic Weapon, Greater Psionic Weapon, precise shot, and Psionic Mediation. Precise shot could be moved up in front of psionic weapon. even as a human, that's 5 of your 8 feats as you progress over levels. Fell Shot isn't needed for your Eldritch Blast. where you go on feats from there is up to you. I might be inclined to take take the Savage SPecies feat that converts a (Sp) into a (Su) so Spell resistance wouldn't effect my Eldritch Blast, and then maybe a couple item creation feats, or Return Shot.

Invocations would tend towards Blast Shape and Eldritch Essence to make the most out of your Eldritch blast. Examples: Eldritch Spear, Sickening Blast, Eldritch chain, etc. basically, same as many non-gestalt warlock builds.

Melee oriented:

My first invocation would likely be Hideous Blow. Sure, I can make only 1 melee attack a round, but man does that attack HURT. :) My feats would be Psionic Weapon, Greater Psionic Weapon, Psionic Meditation, Deep Impact and then likely Power Attack + Cleave. For those who do not see what I am focusing on: This character would only make 1 attack/round for his entire leveling. At lower levels he can only make 1 attack/round anyway, so that attack is charged with extra damage via Hideous Blow. At higher levels, by using Psionic Meditation to regain Focus every round, that single melee attack can be charged by BOTH Hideous Blow and Greater Psionic Weapon, Or alternatively, give up the Greater Psionic Weapon boost to use Deep Impact. Psy-crystal & Psy-crystal affinity are possible feats as well, so that if needed, you could potentially do both.

Other likely invocations: Leaps & bounds (might as well max that tumble skill), Fell Flight (close to melee range w/ aerial targets), Devil's Sight + Hungry Darkness (create a magical darkness that you can see through around you, cover your oppents with a bat swarm while you attack them unhindered), add enervating shadow to that combo later, and retributive invisibility has so many uses for this character...

the melee one actually looks like it just might be nastier.

Yeah, I had the same idea (Warlock + Soul Knife) - gonna try it with a Warforged and see how it turns out. Theme wise it just rocks :D
