Ryan_Singer 05-07-04, 12:02 PM	In the examples for Gestalt, you have Wiz/Sorcs and Sorc/Clerics that get both full spellcasting progressions. My question is, if you are gestalting Psion and Psychic Warrior or Psion and Erudite, do you just get the best PP per day? Do you get a large pool that both classes dump into like multi-classed Psion/Psychic Warriors? Do you get seperate pools? Thanks.-Ryan

Nifft 05-07-04, 12:06 PM	According to the XPH, multi-classed psionic characters have one pool of Power Points, but track Powers and Manifester Levels separately. Thus, a Psion/Wilder would have a few powers that he could Wild Surge, and many more that he could not, but would only have one pool of power points. Furhtermore, the XPH states that you only gain bonus Power Points from one stat -- which ever is the key ability score of your higher manifester level class. Basically, putting two different Psionic classes into a Gestalt PC will be sub-optimal. Far better to play a Psion/Wizard or Wilder/Sorcerer. (Or Psion/Rogue, or PsiWar/Cleric, or PsiWar/Ranger, or Wilder/Paladin, or ...) -- N
Illithidbix 05-07-04, 03:00 PM	Hmm, however Gesalting is very different from normal multiclassing. I would say pool the power points from both levels, mainly cus a Gesalt Sorcerer/Wizard has access to the full spell slots from both levels. Actually if you wanted to be rather more accurate you could keep the powers powerpoint totals seperate for each class, and choose which class the power is manefested from.
