Shoes 06-25-05, 04:27 AM	This is somethng thats been bothering me since I've wanted to play a gestalt character with a monster class on one side. Seeing on how the Gestalt rules in the Unearthed Arcana doesn't fully go into detail on how it affects certain rules or house/varaint rules, how would this work? For example... I want to play a Vampie Spawn monster class from the Libris Mortis using the Gestalt rules. Seeing that monster classes gain hit dice only at certain levels, how would that work exactly with your other side for a class? Do you just get one side as your monster class and the other side [insert core class here] with hit dice (and everything else that comes with it; base attack, skill points, feats, etc.) and no problems? Or would the other [insert core class here] gain HD only when the monster class allows it at certain levels of the monster class?

Would the cohort also be gestalt seeing PCs get to be gestalt?

Basically the PCs and NPC Villains/antagonists. Everyone else in the world is not gestalt. In this case, then no, the cohort would not be gestalt. However if in the game you run everyone in the world is gestalt, then yes.
