Sorry guys but I'm new to the Gestalt character creation and am not quite sure how to do a few things. I just have two questions, for now ;p

The Ascetic Mage feat in Complete Adventurer allows you to stack your Monk and Sorceror abilities to determine your AC bonus. Would this work with a Gestalt Monk/Sorceror. The character in question is level 4. So would he have a +1 AC bonus for being "8th" level or just the regular +0 for being 4th level.

Second question is about a prestige class called "War Hulk." I have a player playing an Ogre and if he took the Prestige class at say at level 7, and the other class he chose to move up was fighter, would he get the +1 base attack bonus for the fighter since the War Hulk doesn't get a BAB?

Thanks in advance for your answers guys :)

You would treat the character as having full levels in both classes. You would gain the full benefit of the feat, just as a non-gestalt character with 4 levels of both sorcerer and monk.

You get the better BAB of the two. I'd say +1 per level is better than nothing.
Thanks in advance for your answers guys :)
You're welcome.

Rule Number One of gestalt: level-for-level, nothing stacks.
Regular +0. These monk and sorcerer levels don't stack for purposes of Ascetic Mage, because you took them at the same time. If, on the other hand, a gestalt character took four levels of monk/cleric (for example) and then another four of sorcerer/cleric, then the levels would stack normaly.

You may want to disallow the "Ascetic ____" feats in a Gestalt campaign, since the Gestalt rules make them mostly redundant anyway. Those feats are only truly useful in the context of the monk's restricted multiclassing, and Gestalt campaigns by definition get rid of that restriction.
Second question is about a prestige class called "War Hulk." I have a player playing an Ogre and if he took the Prestige class at say at level 7, and the other class he chose to move up was fighter, would he get the +1 base attack bonus for the fighter since the War Hulk doesn't get a BAB?
Yes. The fighter's BAB is better than the War Hulk's BAB at that level, so the character gets the fighter's BAB.

Since this post is here, I had a few questions to make sure I am getting it right for the Gestalt rule.

Working on a Trans5/ Runesmith5 - fighter 1/ cleric 9 and wanted to double check.

Trans 1/Ftr 1
Trans 2/Clr 1
Trans 3/Clr 2
Trans 4/Clr 3
Trans 5/ Clr 4
RS 1/Clr 5
RS 2/Clr 6
RS 3/Clr 7
RS 4/Clr 8
RS 5/Clr 9

At 1st I would get the Fighters BAB and Fort Save along with the Wizards Will save.
At 2nd, would I get the Wizards BAB or the Clerics BAB? It says I get the better progression but the Wizard is 1/2 with the cleric 3/4.
At 3rd, I get the Reflex boost for wizard, do I also get it again at 4th for the +1 reflex boost from the cleric (3rd)?

I'd use the fractional BAB rules, intro'd within the same section. Gets rid of most of the weirder parts of gestalt... it's not as abusable, though. so if you can get away with not using it more power to you, I guess... :P

1st level you got right.
2nd level you take the better progression clerics is better than wizard, but I recommend usign fraction BAB/saves to illustrate it better.
3rd gets tricky and once again I recommend using fractional BAB/saves to say headaches, because I have heard many different interpretations, and all of the inconsistanees go away with fractional BAB/Saves. If I ws not using fraction BAB or saves I would actually say you get the +1 at 3rd but not at 4th, because you are choosing the progression not the class... so 3rd level in poor progression of a save gives you a +1, at 4th level it is still +1 and doesn't increase.

I am going to make it a little easier on myself by going wizard/cleric

Looking over the RSoP I found that they got Martial Wpns so I did not need the Fighter level. Getting tired of always having to use Simple wpns as a Cleric.

So let me see if I have this right

Wiz 1/Clr 1 BAB 0 F+2/R0/W+2
Wiz 2/Clr 2 BAB +1 F+3/R0/W+3
Wiz 3/Clr 3 BAB +2 F+3/R+1/W+3
Wiz 4/Clr 4 BAB +3 F+4/R+1/W+4
Wiz 5/Clr 5 BAB +3 F+4/R+1/W+4
RS 1/Clr 6 BAB +4 F+6/R+2/W+6 (+2 F/W - RS)
Wiz 6/RSoP 1 BAB +4 F+8/R+2/W+8 (+2 F/W - RSoP)
Wiz 7/RSoP 2 BAB +5 F+9/R+2/W+9
Wiz 8/RSoP 3 BAB +6/+1 F+9/R+3/W+9
Wiz 9/RSoP 4 BAB +7/+2 F+10/R+3/W+10

When I used the fractional rule, it ended up being BAB +7 1/2 with +11 for the good and +3 1/3 for the poor saves. That would be right since the good save is listed as +2 1/2 at start. I am waiting for the DM to see how he wants it done.
