Veton 03-13-04, 08:15 PM	:uh-huh: Did you even play a Gestalt? There are no Gestalt spells. What a Gestalt is is a character who has levels in two classes, but takes the best from all the things all classes have (Hit Dice, skillpoints per level with all the skills of both classes, Base Attack Bonus, saves, etc.) and gaining the rest of the class features that don't overlap. So a Level 5 Gestalt who is a Fighter/Barbarian will have a d12 HD, 4 plus Intelligince modifier skill points per level, and the skills of both classes. He will also have Rage, Trap Sense, Uncanny Dodge, and whatever else Barbarians get, along with Fighter bonus feats.

He just had a brilliant idea that there should be. Sadly, due to his being awe-inspiringly inarticulate, we shall never comprehend his obvious brilliance. (You are doing that on purpose, aren't you? SykeXero 03-13-04, 11:28 PM	Vanigo is totaly right. And this is coming from the very first person to insult Gestalt_Commoner. GC does come up with some really interesting ideas. Unfortunately, many of them aren't really workable or logical. Gestalt Spells is one such idea. Anyway... "Twin Spell" is a metamagic feat that allows you to cast two spells at once or the same spell twice at once.(not sure, never used it) I think it was in "Tome and Blood."

I'll agree with you on that score - though, the 'gestalt spell' idea isn't a bad one, it's just not really of any use for D&D. I've kinda been toying around with something similar, for a varient magic system that has some very hard and fast divisions between three types of magic, though allows for very gracious multiclassing within one type - basicly, as a mechanic to make multiclassing between two diffrent types of magic somewhat more palletable... It's definetly interesting, but it doesn't make much sense in DnD as it stands.
