Ok, so my friends and I were debating, both of my friends were competing to do the most amount of maximum damage, not including crits, so they ended up with way too much SA, I mean 22d6 and 30 some d6, so my question is with gestalt you take the faster progression of SA, and bonus feats right, :(

You use the better progression for saves and base attack bonus (so no "Oh, this level this class gains 1 to all saves and bab, but next level, that class gains 1 to all saves and bab, guess I went up two on everything during those two levels").

Bonus feats and special abilities are awarded when you normally would. So, a fighter/wizard gets a bonus fighter feat at 1st, 2nd, 4th etc level, and also bonus wizard feats at 5th, 10th etc level, in addition to the normal character feats at 1st, 3rd, 6th etc level.
