I have the opportunity to play in a somewhat powercampaign. I got lucky and got some good rolls for my stats (18 18 17 17 16 15) I wanted to try something new and that seen like fun to do and I am thinking of duing a paladin/Druid Gestalt. Freedom pladin/druid to be exact. neutral good. We will start of at level 9.

The issue I am running into, is that paladins really do not get much better at higher levels and I am almost thinking of droping off levels for fighter and or Prestige classes.

However, i really want to see it through with a Paladin/druid, but the prestige classes really make it so that my Charisma is not that much needed, because i will loose levels in LoH's, Mount increases, Turn Undead and smite.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can make this combination work, without me having to leave the paladin class, or even a prestige class that excells at hacing a high charisma.

As it is now, it's probably better to put all my extra skills points into wisdom and not Charisma.

Is there a way to use a weapon other than a club, when i am a druid?

Thanks

paladins of freedom have to be CG.paladins and druids dont really have any common ground i could see gestalting them.from either an rp standpoint or powergameing.

but just take general druid advice.ignore your physical stats send mentals though the roof.

btw those stats are ridiculous.i mean you could run a viable paladin monk with those stats.

I don't know of any way to do this since because there is no neutral paladin.

Yeah, the stats were great, Our Dm allowed us to roll 5d6 for our stats and use 3.

I thought that a freedom paladin had to be any good? Oh well ill look at it again. Though I really wanted to make a combination with a Paladin. I might jsut have to go with a cleric paladin, thought I thought it would be good with a druid.

Yeah, I am finding more and more, that it jsut will not work out. Paladin's just are not that good at high levels.

How exactly would a monk Pally work?

I was thinking of going Druid/monk, which would be insanely awesome

Thats a deadly enough combo --

At level 9 with those stats I would do a Monk/Wizard

Stats would be

Str 18

Int 18 (+1 with lu)

Wis 18

Con 14

Dex 20 (+1 with lu)

Cha 15

Elf

This will give you average HP of 62 (max at 1 average afterword)

Your AC will be 19 without magic or anything else

My level alotment would be

Elf racial wizard level/monk

5 level wizard /5 monk

3 kickbut PRC /3 monk

Other options

Warlock/Rogue

Druid/Rogue

Psion/Fighter

Warmage (not Sorcerer though) /Paladin

Paladin/Warmage is especially nice since for the price of Mithril Armor a one feat you get blast spells up to 5th level and utility magic up to 2nd level and decent healing -- plus a fighter BAB and HP --all of this in full plate

I'd play that fellow as Human (for the bonus feat)

Good gear for you -- Mithril Shield and Armor as well as a magic weapon and a few minor items -- I like a brooch of shielding myself

Paladin of Apathy: Sits on his Lay-Z-Boy at home while he thinks about travelling the Multiverse those who would do something to shift the alignments of the world. Then he decides watching Neon Genesis Evangelion would be more fun, then gets up to find the Cheetos.

Oh wait, wasnt that the DnD gamer stereotype? Oops.

Those stats would rock for the 3.0 psion, which is so much cooler than the 3.5 psion.

As far as Gestalting goes, a Psion/Fighter would be great with those stats, and maybe throw in a little War Mind in there.
