I was thinking about this and thought I would get your oppion. How over powered would it be to to combine the 2 classes compared to the other calsses in the game? Call it MAge. It use the wiz spell table and would get 6+ int mod 0 level spells and 2+ int mod of 1st level spells at level 1. Then at each level there after it get 2 more spell that he can cast per level up. He still gets the feats like a wiz and int powers the castings a day.

What do you think?

Without trying it, my gut feeling says possibly too powerful. Wizards are considered overpowering at high levels as it is. You are adding to their power even more, so likely it's too good.

Compared to the spell point system, I think (though I'm not sure) that this will give the wizards more spells per day than they would get in that system, which is doing what you are talking about, but in a different way.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do here. Create a spontaneous caster that actually gets abilities other than spells? If that's the case, take the Sorcerer - generally concidered underpowered compared to other casters - and give him a few bonus feats (I'd add metamagic feats at 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th)
