I'm fishing for ideas on how to adapt the Ranger class to a marine environment. Features like Track, Wooldand Stride and Swift Tracker are pretty useless to someone that lives life on or in the sea. What would be some suitable alternatives to these abilities?

Here are my suggestions:

Swap woodland stride & swift tracker for +10' to swim speed (each). Track becomes Alertness.

Net & Trident Combat Style: Treated as having the Exotic Weapon Proficency (Net) feat. Gains a +2 bonus to opposed strength checks to control the movement of an opponent entangled by one's net. Reduces the amount of time needed to re-fold a net from 2 rounds to a 1 round.
Net & Trident Improved Combat Style: Treated as having the Net & Trident feat (from Complete Warrior).
Net & Trident Combat Mastery: Grains an additional +2 bonus to opposed strength checks to control the movement of an opponent entangled by one's net. Reduces the amount of time needed to re-fold a net from 1 rounds to a move equivalent action.
