| Lord Psilos05-05-05, 01:42 PM | I'm running a new campaign set in a "barbarian" winter land. Not everyone wants to be a barbarian, and I for one don't want them to all to be. I'm using the totemic barbarians and the savage bard variant. However, to those not playing either of those classes, I was thinking of making illiteracy a flaw, and not a "player trait". The northlanders are supposed to be incredibly tough people with an extra "boost" in physical prowess, so I've offered those who aren't playing a barbarian or a savage bard the ability to take illiteracy as a flaw, if they wish. Now I have it that they cannot buy it off until they 1. Roleplay learning the written language, and 2. Spend 3 skill points, instead of two, for each language they wish to learn the writing of. How would you make Illiteracy a character -flaw- instead of the trait that is mentioned in earlier pages? |
