LordPerrinOfNeomegaDotNet 04-18-04, 08:37 AM	Nowhere in the Item Familiar feat description nor the expalanation of the familiar itself did I notice anything to indicate that an arcane spellcaster couldn't have one along with his normal familiar, as opposed to the Improved Familiar feat, which explicitly states that you cannot have a standard familiar when taking it. Does this mean that an arcane caster can, in fact, have a normal familiar and an item familiar simultaneously?
Dartanel 04-18-04, 11:23 AM	Yes. The use of the word 'familiar' in Item Familiar is a bit of a misnomer. Item Familiar has literally nothing to do with any other familiar type ability.
