Hello all, I am planning of taking a weapon familiar and would like your advice or answer on some things. I am currently level five and next level i will gain two feats. I currently have a set of weapons that are (atm just roleplaywise) legendary and magical. Next level i want them to become my Item Familiar. The level after that, i want to make them Ancestral Relic. Now the thing is, i didn't quite understand the part of Item Familiar that explained about improving your item familiar. Does item familiar grant the same kind of ability as ancestral relic does, to upgrade ones weapons by sacrificing money? Also i want the weapons to have two personalities, one for each blade. But i want them to be linked together. So now im thinking of taking the item familiar feat two times and them making a sort of extra rule to represent the mental link between the two weapons.
