Something just came to me an idea for a character actualy...inspired by this book and the item familiar feat.

I want to play something really differn't than I have done before so I was thinking of playing an intelegent item who useing it's ego dominates creatures inorder to improve itself.

Most likly I would need to be evil to do this but it sounds like so much fun to roleplay.

Basicly I would write up an item with suffencent ego to dominate a lower lvl player and not fall behind him in ego in the several lvls before i'm able to make him take the nessassary feets and ablitys to upgrade me(the item) so that I can continue to dominate him.

The fun would be in hideing this from the other members of the partie (as i'm fairly certen this makes me evil  ) and continueing to improve the item. It would be a compleatly differing kind of advancement then I've ever gotten to play before.

I can think up plenty of background stuff for where I would come from and understand I would have to keep track of multiple characters but thats no biggie as i'm fairly good with the rules of the game.

What I want to know though is if anyone else has ever played something like this and what worked for you? Any advice you might have on what type of item to be/ ablitys you would give yourself to begen that would make since any any EZ ways to inflate the ego that isn't hugely overpowering as I would like to start this with other characters who would be lvl 1. I'm sure I could work something out with the dm where it would just be logical for me to hide the majority of my starting power from my host/partie but would like to know if there was a way to do it differntly also.

Also is there going to be some arifical cap to char(items) ego baced on limites of bonus that can be applyed to the item.

I apologize beforehand if this is the wronge forum to bring this up but as it was this book and the posts on this forum that spawned the idea in my head I felt it fit fairly well...If you feel the need to move this post though understood.
