What do you think a Kobold Paragon would look like?

With favored class Sorcerer, it should get spellcasting progression.

Perhaps Light Tolerance similar to the Orc....

Something like this...

Kobold Racial Paragon
HD: d6
Skill Points: 4 + Int bonus
Class Skills: Balance (Dex), Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Hide (Dex), Jump (Str), Knowledge (any) (Int), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Profession (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), Spot (Wis) and Swim (Str).

Lvl___BAB__Fort_Ref__Will_Spellcasting__ Special
1____+0___+0___+2___+2___-----------____Darkvision 90 feet, Light Tolerance
2____+1___+0___+3___+3___+1 Lvl Sorc____Natural Armor +1
3____+2___+1___+4___+4___+1 Lvl Sorc____Dex +2

What do you think?

SInce your going for a sorcerous base, why would they no get a +2 CHA ?

The reason I went with +2 Dex is that they already have a Dex Bonus, and most of the Paragons seem to only give bonuses where they already exist.

That being said, +2 charisma would give them a nice boost to a spellcasting stat.... I just don't think of Kobolds as all that charismatic.

What do you think?

The +2 dex and +1 natural armor mean that a Kobold paragon has an unarmored AC of 15, which may do more for a sorcerer than +2 charisma.

Phew..for some reason when I read this listing I had an image of the kobold with the paragon template from the epic levels handbook...very disturbing.

I would really like to see some paragons from the non-standard races. WoTC could do a nice bit of add ons through the website with these.

What about the rest of the lizard-kind:
Lizard men
Troglodytes
Lizard Folk

also then goblinoids should also get paragon levels:
Goblins
Hobgoblins
Bugbears
Dekanter goblins

IIRC, both the gnome and elf get their paragon level bonus to their favored class's spellcasting stat so it wouldn't be a radical departure to have another class do that.

Plus, while I agree that the average kobold doesn't really sound charismatic, this is a paragon kobold so it can be above and beyond what you think of for kobolds.

Do you think Knowledge(any) is to strong? Should it be Knowledge (arcana) instead?

I'd think that the Paragon Kobold would be like hieratical's first suggestion, but replacing the removal of light sensitivity with an increase to the racial bonuses to setting traps.

What should it be? As a Sorcerer it should be d4, but I think a Kobold Paragon should be slightly tougher, and they don't get full caster levels for it.

Similar to the hit dice of the Eldritch Knight.
