magmer2 04-18-05, 08:04 AM	A drow in my party is tenth level and has bought off his LA, and is now trying to to become a lich. How will it work with him trying to buy off his newly accumulated LA.
Arcade 04-18-05, 09:51 AM	First off, shouldn't your Drow be 12th level to buy off his LA? (+2 LA is bought off one level at a time at levels 9 and 12, not both levels at level 9). Once he is a lich, I'd let him buy it off just like a normal +4 LA, which he can't even start to do until much later anyway. (don't have my book, but it's level 15 or something like that)
Andarious 04-18-05, 09:58 AM	No, assuming you did it right the drow would be level 10, first you drop one level at 9, making you 8. The next LA happens 3 levels later (11), and drops you to 10. So yeah he could drop another LA at level 25 (15 levels 5*3 from his last LA drop)... I think that makes sense.
