Lady Fierna 06-04-04, 10:59 AM	Lightning Bolt The Lightning Bolt was crafted and wielded by Talos, the first Stormlord. It is said that one who masters this weapon masters weather itself. Requirements: Any character can yield the Lightning Bolt as a +2 returning javelin that can cast call lightning thrice per day (this ability is considered use-activated). A faith scion who wields the Lightning Bolt gains additional special abilities if the character fulfills the following criteria. Alignment: Any nonlawful. Base Will Save:+11. Feat: Energy Substitution (lightning). Spells: Ability to cast 8th level divine spells. Special: Shock Weapon, Thundering Weapon, and Shocking Burst Weapon class abilities. Restrictions: Should the wielder of the Lightning Bolt become lawful of alignment, he loses all special abilities grantee by the faith scion prestige class. To regain these abilities, the scion must recieve an atonement spell from a cleric of Talos. Maintenance: A wielder of the Lightning Bolt must kill an intelligent creature that does not worship Talos at least once every fourteen days with this weapon. Failure to do so results in the weapon losing one point of enhancement. (The weapon can only lose one point of enhancement in this way) Attributes: The Lightning Bolt has the following attributes. Hardness/Hit Points: 25/80. Caster Level: 20th. Value: To any character other than a faith scion who meets the above requirements, the Lightning Bolt appears to be worth as much Medium +2 returning javelin that can use call lightning three times per day (price coming soon). A faith scion who meets the prerequisites adds his faith scion level to that DC. Storm Spell Access: A level one faith scion who meets the prerequisites adds the following spells to a divine spellcasting class of his choice that can cast call lightning (ususally druid, though, with proper domain selection, cleric can be chosen, too) with which he can cast spells of eighth level. 1st-Shocking grasp. 2nd-Gust of wind, wind wall. 3rd-Call lightning, lightning bolt, sleet storm. 4th- Air walk,ice storm. 5th- Blinding winds*, call lightning storm, control winds. 6th- Chain lightning, control winds, wind walk. 7th- Control weather, storm tower*. 8th- Storm of elemental fury, stormrage*, whirlwind. 9thGreater whirlwind*, storm of vengeance. *indicates a spell from Complete Divine. The faith scion casts these spells at +1 caster level. Lightning Bolt(Sp): At level 2, the faith scion can use lightning bolt three times per day, (DC 14 + faith scion level). Lightning Blast: At level 3, Lightning Bolt gains the Lightning Blast property (in addition to the faith scion's Shocking, Shocking burst, and thundering properties that he imbues to all javelins) when in the use by the faith scion. Lightning blast is detailed in the Epic Level Handbook. Enhancement Bonus Increase: At level 4, Lightning Bolt's enhancement bonus increases to +6. At level 6, it increases to +8. At level 10, it increases to +10 Chaotic Power: At level 5, Lightning Bolt gains the Chaotic Power property (in addition to all other properties) while in use by the faith scion. Sonic Blast: At level 7, Lightning Bolt gains the Sonic Blast property (in addition to all other properties) while in use byt the faith scion. The Sonic Blast property is detailed in the Epic Level Handbook. Distant Shot: At level 8, Lightning Bolt gains the Distant Shot property (in addition to all other properties) while in use by the faith scion. The Distant Shot property is detailed in the Epic Level Handbook. Unerring Accuracy: At level 9, Lightning Bolt gains the Unerring Accuracy property (in addition to all other properties) while in use by the faith scion. The Unerring Accuracy property is detailed in the Epic Level Handbook. Triple-Throw: At level 10, Lightning Bolt gains the Triple-Throw property (in addition to all other properties) while in use by the faith scion. The Triple-Throw property is detailed in the Epic Level Handbook. Storm of Vengeance(Sp): At level 10, the faith scion can use Storm of Vengeance three times per day (DC 33). What do you think?
Mr.Waesel 06-09-04, 08:15 AM	Maybe a bit to powerful. (though this actually makes the prestige class worth entering :)) And a +10 weapon has a caster level of 30.
