Does anyone know where I could find something like that? I've already read UA and XPH, but I'd like a few more ideas. Specifically, I'm going to be starting a new campaign with some d&d newbies, and I can already tell that they're going to think the Vancian magic system is obtuse and annoying. (Which is true, I think we've just grown used to it). I'd ideally like for all spellcasters to be spontaneous and perhaps have a way to minimize bookkeeping on what spells you can still cast. I'm more concerned about ease of play than balance. And I'm not concerned at all about shafting the sorceror, who I will probably just drop since no one seemed interested in playing one and a spontaneous wizard is nearly the same thing. |
