I have a quick question.

I use Magic ratings in my game. I also use Psionics, so I allow magic ratings to apply to psionics as well. (For example, a level 4 fighter/level 1 psion can spend up to 2 points augmenting a power, assuming he has them and is willing to spend them.)

I was wondering is anyone could perhaps share they're experiences with this?

Are the irrelevent in my house rules, and I probably shouldn't allow them?

Should I lower the bonus, since you're probably not goign to need +4 spellcaster leve in most cases? (Maybe to +2?)

Should RAISE it to make it more meaningful? (Maybe +6 to maximum of HD? Maybe that hexblade/dragon disciple might like that?)

Or, is it not needed to be changed at all, and I'm thinking too hard.

I would say it grants a +4 bonus to the character's magic rating, up to that character's hit dice/level.
