06-22-05, 11:06 AM Is there a way to get an official answer as to whether a paladin can multiclass into human paragon and not lose the ability to raise his paladin levels? Unearthed Arcana is a little vague about it.

They do count as legitimate class levels (with a hit die, BAB, saves and so on) so they ARE real classes, just not base classes -- they are not "funny" levels like, say, bloodline levels... :rolleyes:

So your GM would have to rule. Personally, I think that a house-rule that paragon classes may be freely multiclassed with paladin and monk (and any other class that normally has a multi-classing restriction) would be quite reasonable -- but I believe that would indeed be a house rule, as the classes themselves do not specifically indicate that you can freely multiclass with such classes. Most prestige classes which are intended to be interactively taken with paladin or monk classes specifically indicate that you can multiclass without difficulty in their descriptions. But Unearthed Arcana doesn't always cover all the bases, as it were, for some of their options.
