11-16-06, 10:47 AM How do you compute the class defense bonus for a multiclass character? You can't just add them, there has to be some kind of scaling.

If you go by the figures in the UA table and just add the bonuses you could make a 1Ftr/1Pal with 12 defense...the same bonus as a 19ftr would have. That can't be right.

How do you do it?

11-16-06, 11:25 AM It mentions this in the Class Defense Bonus section of Unearthed Arcana. You simply take the highest value between their various classes.
