I've been a d&d player sense 2nd ed. and i miss the old class the priest. So, i created a less martial, more powerful spell caster of divine magic. It looks like this.

Hit Die: d6, Skill Points: 6 + Int, Saves (Fort & Will Strong, ref weak) Skills: as cleric + all Know skills, spells: as cleric except they gain three domans
Proficiency: simple weapons only, no armor or shields. Starting gold 6d4 x 10

LV BAB Special
1 0 Lay on Hands, Turn or Rebuke Undead, Aura
2 1 _
3 1 _
4 2 _
5 2 Bonus Feat (divine feat, metamagic, or turn rebuke undead feats)
6 3 _
7 3 _
8 4 _
9 4 _
10 5 Bonus Feat
so forth and so on...
one fellow player thinks i should also give it the paladins Remove Disease progression starting at 6th LV...
The idea is to be really good at divine magic by loosing martial poweress.

As a Prestige Class, there is the Contemplative. Its kind of the character you want to make as a class, so you should give it a closer look... :)

hmmm it has one large advantage, the player can simply take proficency in armor as feats and walk around as an armored fortress of divine magic (like regular clerics, but with more magic), the bonus feats should make up for the feats needed for the armor proficency, you should consider doing something about it.

Looks a lot like the Cloistered Cleric alternative build in Unearthed Arcana.
Both get 6+ skill points, both get an extra domain (thoubh CC automatically takes Knowledge), both get all knowledge skills (though CC gets it from Knowledge Domain), both get less weapon/armor proficiencies, lower BAB. The only other main differences is you give bonus feats and lay on hands, CC gives Lore and a few other class skills. Oh, and CC forces the Knowledge domain.

yes that is true (the advantage of divine over arcane) but it would have to sacrafice 3 feats in order to do so, out of 7 that only leaves 4 to do what you will.

thanx guys for the info, but i'm still not sure how to balance this so keep 'em comming...
One thing that i've thought of is get rid of the feat progression and instead use the Remove Disease progression.
so it should like this:
LV BAB Special
1 0 Lay on Hands, Turn or Rebuke Undead, Aura
2 1 _
3 1 _
4 2 _
5 2 _
6 3 Remove Disease 1/week
7 3 _
8 4 _
9 4 Remove Disease 2/week
10 5 _
11 5 _
12 6 Remove Disease 3/week
so forth and so on...

I would not give the class a high Fort save, since it is not a warrior type.

Maybe you could give it an ability that allows them to cast more spells in a spontaneous way.

An example that comes to my mind:
The priest does not prepare any spells in his domain spell slots. Instead, he may spontanously cast any domain spell that he has using one slot of the appropriate level.

So, basicly everything i already have on there, minus Fort strong and just allow it to cast any domain spell spont. I really like that... "well done"
Although i think i have enough to make this class now, i could still use a few more opinions just to see if it really is balanced. Besides, anyone else who likes this could use it.

while reading this, i was thinking it would be cool if he didn't have to preparae spells at all! like the war mage, but yeah, just a thought.....probably to pawerful huh?

That'd be like a Favored Soul from Complete Divine or the Healer class from Miniatures Handbook.
