| DrWorm03-14-04, 07:25 PM | Has anyone worked up a character sheet for UA stuff? Specifically a sheet that would have VP/WP, AP, Spell Points...things like that. I know that the Mad Irishman has but you need Acrobat 6.0 to use it. |
| Veton03-14-04, 09:03 PM | Hmm...it's kind of hard to make one with UA information on it. It can't have all the varients, and if it only selects one type of varient (For example, either it has Spell Points or Recharge Magic varient), then people who don't use it won't get much use out of it. I'd say you would have to make your own, depending on your campaign. |
| jagggar03-15-04, 11:29 AM | Be kinda cool if someone made a cut'n'paste version. Most or all variants are included, but you have to print off the sheets and arrange what you'll be using the way you want it then get the copy-machine. I can definately see final sheets being at least a 2 page spread (front&back). Full page spell sheets have always been needed though. Much too crowded on the back there, and why take up the space for non-spellcasters? |
| DrWorm03-16-04, 02:50 AM | Actually I went ahead and downloaded acrobat reader 6.0.1 and got the sheet from the Mad Irishman's page. It is really slick. Acrobat reader 6.0.1 has a layers function that allows you to create a pdf with layers that can be turned on and off. So you just have to turn on and off the optional rules you want and...whammo...you have a super slick character sheet. |
| jagggar03-16-04, 11:57 AM | *twitches* Must get new computer. . . Only let me upgrade to 5.something. Gunna try it at school proabably. I wanna see the sheet so bad. |
| Masterful_Norg03-16-04, 09:01 PM | Funny that I would notice this thread because as we speak I am creating a six or so page character sheet spread for my UA games. I include these following variants and features: *12 ability scores instead of 6 *VP/WP & the injury system *Extra space to write bonuses to saves, armor class, etc. (such as the bonus a dwarf receives to saves against magic) *Spell points & recharge magic *The variant I cooked up for ability score affected base land speed *Class based armor bonuses *Magic rating *Reputation, taint & insanity *Seperate lists for traits, flaws, feats, paragon & blood line granted abilities I certainly would love to get my hands on Mad Irishman's character sheets. |

| Veton03-16-04, 09:45 PM | Err...just move along here, nothing to see... (If only we could delete our own posts :( ) |
| Masterful_Norg03-17-04, 03:13 AM | Unfortunately these character sheets are for, dun dun dun, "ARCANA UNEARTHED" by a Mr. Full-Monte Fry-Cook, not "UNEARTHED ARCANA". That means that my character sheet project is still underway and that things such as breakfast cereals and potatoe chips contain acrylamide that could cause cancer, which is bad news for us all. (My character sheets will be that whorible!) |
| DrWorm03-17-04, 03:47 AM | Nope...look further...in the DnD section the first sheets are Unearthed Arcana sheets...read the paragraph below. It's version 2.25 |
| Masterful_Norg03-17-04, 03:58 AM | Ahh but can you refute the rest of my post! Dareth I say, dareth! |
| Masterful_Norg03-17-04, 04:13 AM | Arghh to have photoshop 7.0, but Acrobat 4.0. I would love to see this. (EDIT: And so I shall) |
| Jack Daniel03-17-04, 01:01 PM | The Mad Irishman's sheet is definitely one of the nicest out there. It didn't quite suit my campaign, though, since I use a lot of wierd house rules, and so I did up my own sheet (http://people.ku.edu/~ivan327/pdfs/ReSheet.pdf). Wounds and vitality, simple skill checks, action points, defense bonus, what have you. All you really need to make a sheet like this is MS Word; it doesn't need to be a PDF if you don't need people to download it. |
| DrWorm03-17-04, 06:04 PM | I breally like your sheet too. Do you still have the Original .doc file? I would love to have that so I cold edit it in word. |
| Jack Daniel03-18-04, 01:19 PM | Here ya go. (http://people.ku.edu/~ivan327/pdfs/DnDSheet.zip) It's a word doc in a Zip file, and as long as you have regular windows fonts, it should be formatted just fine. I took the liberty of sticking a D&D logo in place of my campaign logo, so you can edit it however you wish. :) |
| jagggar03-18-04, 02:38 PM | Pretty cool sheet. Really like how you seperated the skills based on the ability they use. |
| TieraStarr03-19-04, 08:24 PM | Masterful_Norg: *12 ability scores instead of 6 Is this in any 3E (or 3½E book), or are you just using the version from 2E Skills and Powers? I have a version of subabilities updated for DnD 3.0 (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=204792). I would be interested in seeing any alternate versions. -Tiera Edit: changed above link to a new post on these forums since my host appears to be down. |
