Intimidate got some use from ToB. I also like what they did with skill uses in SWSE.

Does anyone have suggestions for other skills? Spellcraft, I'm looking at you!

A generally accepted use for the Heal skill is allow it to determine cause of death.

Complete Adventurer has a load of new uses, like a quick Appraise, a Balance check vs. trip, a Create cipher option with Decipher Script, Craft (Poison) DCs, circumstance bonuses to social skills when using an appropriate Forged document, etc. It actually has rules for determining cause of death with Heal.

Recently, WoTC implemented Lore for most monsters; with appropriate Knowledge checks (Arcana for Magical Beasts, Plane for Outsiders, Religion for Undead, etc) you gain insight on a creature (something around DC 10 for type and name, DC 25 for useful info and 35 for very useful info)

Ideas of my own:
-A damage bonus to Critical Hits with many ranks in Heal (or a successful Heal check to determine soft spot?)
-Bluff vs. Spellcraft while casting to prevent counterspelling
-Hide to conceal objects (bear trap under leaves, stolen loot in a pile of garbage, etc.)
-Craft to make a crude repair on an item (repaired for 1d6 rounds then doesn't work until fully repaired, for example)
