I am just wondering if I should be removing how many effects can be put on an item. There is a rule in the last chapter of DMG that says that you can not add effects that add up to having the base cost over the +10 (200,000 I believe) such as +5 greatsword with ghost touch, keen, ki focus, axiomatic, holy, speed and any of those. Should I be taking away this limit?

(BTW if you look at the DMG and look at the tables that have effects you can see the price modifiers. I am looking at the ones with +1, +2, +3 ect)

I did up armor using all + XXXXX gp enchantments a month or two ago on the Character Optimization Board. Here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=345209) Costs 4,163,816 GP

At some point in cost, the item technically becomes "Epic." Sorry I don't know what impact that has on item creation though.

Only if you want to open up the game to some awful awful combonations.

For fun here's a little mind exercise. Set yourself a gold limit and go through and just try to :censored: the system.

Ironically the people you want to test house rules like this, the rules lawyers and powergamers, are the ones you don't want to play with...
