| Diffan07-01-07, 02:10 PM | Ok, my turn at DM is coming up soon and I really want to try a Gestalt campaign. Problem is, after reading Unearthed Arcana and reading the boards, I'm a little confused. So, for example I make a level 1 Fighter 1//Wizard 1. I would progress those two classes together at each level. Now, if I add a PrC, then the book says that I can only advance 1 other base class. Is this right? Also, I'm letting my PC's take PrC's that allow them full BAB and Spell-progression, like Fist of Raziel for example, also, I'm requireing my PC's to have at least 5 levels in their original base classes before I let them PrC, as well as NO multi-classing. Any suggestions, comments, concerns that I could use for starting out. Keep in mind that if a few PC's try to break the game, i'll just make it that much harder. Thanks! -Diffan |

For your fighter/wizard I'd suggest using the armored mage variant class feature from the Complete Mage or you would still have arcane spell failure in armor. |

The Fighter/Wizard gestalt was an example, but yea, definitly take Armored Mage AFC. Do I have the level progression correct? I can only progress 1 base class and 1 PrC at the same time? |
